My family and I are blessed to call Australia our home for the last 8 years. Our journey to acquire our Permanent Residency status has been hard-won due to the tremendously painful, laborious and financially exhausting circumstances we had to go through to abide by the Australian laws. And just when we thought it's smooth sailing from thereon, we get stunned with distressing news that seem to paint a picture of an even more arduous path to Citizenship. We implore the Australian government and Malcolm Turnbull to please abide by your word and your promises to us current PR residents to the path you originally laid down for us towards Australian citizenship.
